Maruti Suzuki A-Star is the 7th Generation of Maruti Suzuki Alto, in some other countries it is also known as Suzuki Celirio. A-Star was launched in India in December 2008 by Indo-Japanese auto maker Maruti Suzuki. In India it is manufactured in Haryana and exported to Worldwide, export was began in April 2009. In European markets it is available as Nissan Pixo. It comes in three variant- LXi, VXi and ZXi. The initial prices in Indian market are Rs. 3.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for LXi, Rs. 3.72 lakh for VXi and Rs. 4 lakh for ZXi.

It is also available in 5 speed Manual Transmission and 4 speed Automatic Transmission. The Kerb weight of this car is 890 kg and Gross weight of this car is 1300 kg. Overall length is 3500 mm, width is 1600 mm and height is 1500 mm.
On August 15, 2010 Maruti Suzuki launched automatic gear version of Maruti Suzuki A-Star in India, this feature is available in VXi version with ABS (Anti-Braking System) and driver seat height adjustment facility also available in this version. The price of Maruti A-Star Automatic is around Rs. 4.35 lakh
